With the increasing reliance on and shift to paid search engine advertising (Pay Per Click) and paid inclusion, tracking campaigns is a part of the marketing departments job.

Setting up tracking URL's is easy. A tracking URL looks like this

[code:1:5af5ee64fa]http://www.ask-marketing-experts.com/?source=google[/code:1:5af5ee64fa]

Anything after the '?' is a querry string, and you can set this up with a combination of your stats program.

Simply setting up the tracking URL is only the first step. The main task is to configure your stats program to recognise these unique referrers and categorize accordingly.

This is a good program for tracking your conversions

Has anyone tried out Google's new conversion tracking system for Adwords?

I have a client i just installed google tracking on. Im looking forward to testing this free service. Overture has a similar service that is not free. One more reason to use Google.
