Redirecting an existing site to a new URL is a very tough question. With few exceptions, all PR (what I will call its aggregate search engine ranking) is lost. Setting up a 301 redirect through some kind of server side programming is what you need to do.
This will redirect search engines to the new URL, but unfortunately your ranking does not pass through, and you will essentially start from zero. |
