If one has all their text on certain pages within a plain table on any given page, can the search engines read the keywords that appear within these tables?

Any tips appreciated!

marty - im not sure if i understand your question. Search engines index all text in the visible part of a webpage, including tables, div tags and other attributes. They do not index information contained in form elements or javascript.
