equals Alexaholic.
I am not a fan of Alexa internet data, and use it only for very general research. This tool is fun to use to easily compare relative traffic data between websites however.

I too am not a big Alexa fan following something I found a couple of years ago which is still applicable today... (I just did this to a couple of my sites within the past couple of months so it's still working)...
it's a means of making your Alexa ranking look really really good...here's the deal:
want to increase your alexa ranking #?
The alexa numbers are not based on true unique visitors to your site; they are based on unique visitors that have the alexa toolbar in their browser - this in itself shows how wildly off the 'numbers' can be...
now to increasing your numbers...
install the alexa toolbar
(I don't keep it installed as I've found it to cause problems with some of the other toolbars I use and my Ie Browser from time to time also :( )
Now [i:bf333c5c7d]Visit Your Own Site[/i:bf333c5c7d] a few times a day for a couple of weeks - you'll see you numbers improving [i:bf333c5c7d]DRASTICALLY!![/i:bf333c5c7d] |
