It now takes new domain names 8+ months to get a Google ranking. This has been in effect for at least 1 year. Is this a cruel hoax created by the engineers at the Googleplex?
What if the real purpose of the aging penalty on new domain names is merely to discourage scammers looking for a quick buck? Now that people realize it takes 8 months + to get a decent G ranking, the get rich quick people will think twice about engaging in shady SEO tactics. Why risk what took 12 months to build with questionable SEO schemes?
At present, a G ranking is a coveted, precious thing that only old sites have a chance at.
I believe this is not a sandbox, but a deliberate change to make new sites sweat hard to joing the ranking club. |
