Is linking to your competitors good - i believe it is, and i also believe that I will get YOU a bigger benefit than THEY will get with the exchange. This is the art of SEO.
I think its a great achievement when i can get my biggest competitors to trade links with my website, since I know it will return dividends.
If there are any websites you are uncomfortable trading with, you should keep this at your discretion. |

Our, LinkageXpress.com, findings indicate that you are absolutely correct.
Ultimately the best link partners are competition - who's better themed that your competitor and all your links should be as closely themed to your site as possible.
We've also found that dependant on which market niche you're in you'll potentially have more or less luck, dependant on market, in swapping with the competition... ultimately though it's your descretion and theirs.
An added benefit of doing this can be the long term relationships that can be developed with the partners, i.e. perhaps they'll have work overflow that they'll kick down to you and vice versa...
some of my best friends online have spawned originally from link exchange requests and have now morphed into not only great friendships but excellent business partnerships and work load sharing. |
