I recently became a sales/marketing associate in a business that sells medical uniforms.
1) Is it possible to open a store and not advertise your products?
I will have to do all the advertising through word of mouth. There is no budget for advertising. I've been demanded to contact all my friends about this business and get them to buy things that aren't of any use. Is this common?
2) Can a business survive without any business cards, web access, website and without heavy money investment?
3) All travel done for this job comes out of my pocket. There will be no reimbursement.
4) When special orders are requested and are constantly ignored by the owner, when do you stop taking the orders?
5) My pay is not commissioned based? If I stay, when should I ask for a raise?
I feel I'm over my head in this never ending nightmare. What is your opinion? :?: :( :?: |

I have a hard time believing you. You sound like an orphan in a Charles Dickens book. No business can be run as you describe. Sounds like someone is trying to sell you hot air. |

This sales/marketing job is so over. I recently received a job offer in my area of expertise and I'm taking it.
I appreciate the advice from [b:1d5ae07f1c]Admin[/b:1d5ae07f1c], believe me, this was the situation. I can't make up stories such like this. The nightmare is over. I needed to reassure myself that at age 43, that I'm still sane.

I also appreciate the advice from [b:1d5ae07f1c]7thDsites[/b:1d5ae07f1c], enough madness to last a lifetime.
Thanks again |
