I went through the list at http://www.opensourcecms.com/, and decided to go with Mambo. I have installed it on my dad's website, http://www.customchoice.net, and changed the theme, and then customized it a bit. However, I'm not sure I feel comfortable using it for SEO reasons.
Is there a way to customize the title tag, not just the meta keywords and description.
Also, I enabled the Search engine friendly URL's button the the global config page, but I stilll don't like how they look. For example, this is the link to the "Links" page: http://customchoice.net/component/option,com_weblinks/Itemid,4/ .
Any way to change that?
Does any one offer any sort of "SEO Module" for mambo to make it a little easier? |

Good choice Scott - i have been tracking Mambo CMS for a long time and am very impressed with it. It looks to be the simpliest content management system available.
There is a low cost mod that will greatly enhance the appearance of pages:

*note - it is better to use hypens (-) instead of underscores(_) between page name words: eg
/mambo-is-cool/ |
